This week, US Residential Group announced that it would be bringing Laurie Lyons on board as executive vice president of client services.
Lyons has had an exciting career in the multifamily housing industry. Before joining the US Residential team, Lyons co-founded BH Management Services and helped the company to acquire 40,000 housing units across the United States. Her work as co-founder and CEO of BH Management landed her a spot on the National Multifamily Housing Council’s Top 50 Managers ranking list. She was the first female CEO to be recognized.
Lyons, a 30-year industry veteran, will be working to grow US Residential’s third-party management portfolio. After seeing how successful she has been at growing other companies and building relationships in the industry, US Residential saw her as the perfect candidate for the position.
US Residential’s reputation as an industry leader is well known. As a ranking member of the NMHC’s 50 Largest Apartment Managers list, US Residential is growing fast. In total, they have managed 500 buildings with a total of over 100,000 apartment units.
In 2011, US Residential was acquired by C-III Capital Partners as a way for C-III to grow their extensive portfolio. As a subsidiary of C-III, US Residential has been able to grow significantly and offer more services to a wider range of clients.
Island Capital Group, founded by Andrew Farkas, is the controlling parent of C-III. Since founding Island Capital Group, Farkas has become a successful real estate industry leader by helping to grow his own company as well as all of his subsidiaries.
