Miami Marina Welcomes Farkas’s Island Global Yachting

Island Global Yachting kicked off 2017 with a bang as it announced early in January that it had expanded its Florida portfolio with the addition of One Island Park, Miami Beach’s newest marina.

Officially opened in October 2016, One Island Market is designed specifically for superyachts and is capable of accommodating boats of up to 200 feet in length. Perfect for the largest and most extravagant vessels, the new and exclusive marina on Miami’s Terminal Island will be very busy as South Florida is known as one of the leading luxury yachting destinations in the United States.

Now in charge of all branding and management, Island Global Yachting will be instrumental in the initial success of Miami’s new One Island Park. Providing the marina with its awarding-winning services and quality, One Island Park will give IGY a chance to showcase their unmatched services in the South Florida region as well as attract even larger vessels with their unparalleled reputation for marina management.

As One Island Park transitions into IGY’s portfolio, Gili Wojnowich, of IGY, will act as general manager providing support and rebranding management. Under Wojnowich’s management and leadership, IGY Marina’s new Miami location will soon be the new hotspot for superyacht owners, captains and crews.

Owned by Island Capital Group, a real estate merchant banking firm led and founded by Andrew Farkas, Island Global Yachting has become the largest international marina company in the world since its founding in 2005. The company focuses on the acquisition, management and servicing of luxury yacht marinas and the surrounding upland real estate property. Operating 15 marinas in 7 different countries, IGY services more than 800 vessels and about 100,000 customers annually. And now with recent acquisition of One Island Park, Island Global Yachting’s second marina in South Florida, is sure to bring top-quality luxury to the Sunshine State.
